Bob Ehr, Senior Pastor
Bob has served as pastor of First Baptist since April of 2006. Prior to coming to Lawrenceburg, he served as pastor of two churches in Alabama. A native of Florida, he is a graduate of Carson-Newman College, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Beeson Divinity School. He and his wife Melanie are the proud parents of three children.
David Dale, Minister of Music
David, formerly the Worship Pastor at Broadway Baptist Church in Lexington, brings with him over 50 years of experience in church ministry. Throughout his career, he has served churches in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kentucky, and has performed over 1,000 concerts across the U.S. as a pianist, organist, and choral director. David also served as the accompanist for the Singing Churchmen of Oklahoma and the KBC Men’s Chorale for 15 years each. After a brief time away, he rejoined the chorale in 2021 in the same role. Additionally, David is the director of the largest faith-based senior adult ministry in Kentucky, the Lexington Community Seniors. He has been happily married to his wife, Marla, for 54 years.
Student Minister
Paul Jicka, Children's Minister
Paul Jicka has been in children’s ministry since 2019. He graduated in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Christian Education from The Baptist University of Florida. Paul has a dedicated heart to teach children the Word of God. You’ll find him running around playing and herding the kids. His hobbies are coaching/playing soccer, making lattes or any coffee related drink, building legos, and playing pickleball.
Contemporary Worship Leader
Brian has been leading worship at churches, conferences, and events throughout the southeastern United States for over two decades. After being baptized at FBC as a teenager, Brian returned to serve as the contemporary worship leader in March 2015 and was ordained in August 2021. He is a fan of vintage guitars and the Boston Red Sox. Brian and his wife, Cassandra, are the proud parents of one son, Chase, and one daughter, Kendall.
Brad Burton, Financial Officer
Brad has served as our Financial Officer since April 2023 after previously serving as chairman of the finance committee. He works full-time as an Information Technology Director at Infineon Technologies leading global software development teams. Brad and his wife, Melissa, grew up in Lawrenceburg but lived in Georgetown for a number of years after getting married. After their daughter, Lyndon, was born, the Burtons moved back to Lawrenceburg and FBC.
Faye Murphy, Church Secretary
Faye has served as secretary at Lawrenceburg FBC since March 1998. She is the mother of Amy and Mark and Memaw of Barbara and Amanda.
Cindy Couch, Church Secretary
Cindy has served as secretary at Lawrenceburg FBC since February 2007. Prior to joining the staff, she was a stay-at-home mom. She and Dennis, her husband of 22 years, have three lovely daughters: Brittany, Ashley, and Emily.
