In Ephesians 3:20-21, we read: “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!  Amen.”  While there may be numerous civic organizations or charitable causes worthy of our  support, there is no other

institution known to man that God is working through more than the local church.  As these verses indicate, it is His desire to use the church as an instrument to bring glory to His name as He advances His kingdom here on earth today. 

God is at work and He certainly is at work through the people and ministries of First Baptist Church.  In recent years, God has allowed us to reach more and more people to the point that our facilities need to be expanded.  Because we cannot build everything at once, the leadership of First Baptist decided to prayerfully undertake a master planning effort that would result in a Master Plan - a plan that would guide our efforts to accommodate future growth in the areas of education, worship, fellowship, and recreation.

As we prepare to move from planning to implementation of the first phase of our Master Plan, I believe we’re at a point in the life of our church where God will do immeasurably more than we ask or can even

imagine!  While the goals we have set may seem big, they are certainly not too big for God!  Let’s pray that each member will do his or her part and give generously as we support the Kingdom work God is doing  today.

Although we may not be able to completely fathom all that God has in store for us, we can know whatever He does have planned will be truly “beyond measure!”
