Our children’s mission groups meet on Wednesday evenings from
6:00 p.m – 7:00 p.m. during the school year in the Children’s
room. Our Kids on Mission program is designed to train kids to
lead a missions lifestyle in their home, school, community, and
beyond! We not only teach them about missions, we pray for our
missionaries all over the world, give to missions, and do
monthly mission projects. Every week, we watch a fun 20 minute
video that focuses on mission work going on somewhere in our
world. We then break into smaller groups by age and continue our
study. Once a month we do a group mission project. We have done
mission projects on a local, state, national, and international
level.
A few of the projects we have worked on in the past year include
collecting canned goods for our church food pantry, filling suit
cases with supplies for an orphanage in Bangladesh, collecting
money for a World Hunger project, collecting 93 pair of new
shoes for orphans around the world, making craft kits for local
children’s hospitals, and preparing baked goods to show our
appreciation to local law enforcement and emergency medical
workers. These projects help to teach the kids that that they
can be involved in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through
missions involvement, even at a young age. We would love for you
to join our Mission Team!!
